Ladies and Gentlemen, I now present to you, Line of Sight: A Peregrine Saga Tale.

Here are some behind the scenes insights, sorta a reflection if you will:

Nearly three years ago, I ordered a new camera off BHPhotovideo, my dependable and incredibly versatile PVGS500. Needing to test out its capabilities my friends Sam Anderson, Robert Ramirez, Robert Novich, and Damien McCoy set out to make a couple of movies. We came up with some quick scripts, one of which was the almost entirely improvised Clarity, and the other was LINE OF SIGHT, a prototype chapter in the epic Peregrine Saga that STRIKE A POSE!!! Films has planned for a future independent feature release. The first demo of which was the third movie I ever made, Locked Blades (parts 1 and 2), also starring Robert Ramirez.

Line of Sight is a culmination of many genres, and in that sense sort of hits a “kitchen sink” niche, a-la Japanese action movies, American Westerns, kung fu flicks, and to an extent the post-apocalyptic sci fi fantasy genre. I’d say my biggest influences are Sergio Leone, Ryuhei Kitamura, Akira Kurosawa, John Ford, Gordon Liu, and Luc Besson.

Regardless of what genre the series fits into, The Peregrine Saga contains the themes of morality tales and finding a place in a world where many must start from scratch to succeed. In this sense, it’s almost a post-post-apocalyptic tale, wherein the world has started over, and its people have forgotten its past.

A lot of other firsts happened with this movie. We found a brand new beautiful location in Montgomery County to shoot. Robert Novich had his first starring role, while Sam Anderson had his first supporting after a long track of the vice-versa. Robert Ramirez performed his first choreography for the group, and in the three years since has sharpened his skills studying Kung Fu and Tai Chi with Self Mastery Systems.

What the shoot culminated in was something the complete opposite of Clarity- a sparsely dialogued action pursuit film with three short choreographed fights and a fantasy-styled intro prologue. For the most part, we think it worked.
In any case, here it is, after three long years, premiering on the internet for the first time for the whole world to potentially see. We hope you enjoy it, and thank you for supporting the actors and crew. They took a lot of hits to the head to provide you with these 8 and a half minutes of entertainment.

I have an announcement to make. Well it’s really an announcement about an announcement, but regardless it is HUGE.

Thanks to the loyal viewership of this site, Clarity has received more views than almost any film on this site, and in record time! Because of this incredible progress it is with great pleasure and admiration to you, the fans, that I announce we will begin a 6 month long release schedule of new film content starting in March and lasting EVERY MONTH until we run out of old work and have to start making new stuff!

Rob seems pretty thrilled with the release of Line of Sight!

This will include the Summer of 07 Sister Project to Clarity, LINE OF SIGHT, two tales from Max Action’s living room: The Worst Stories Ever Told, and even one very large and magical production I’m sure none of you ever expected to see on the net. We’ll keep that one quiet for now, but expect to see new teasers and trailers in the next two months!

The release schedule will be finalized hopefully in just a couple of weeks, but I can tell you this little nugget for now: Line of Sight WILL premiere over the week of MARCH 21st 2010, to celebrate Spring, new beginnings, and co-star Robert Ramirez’s personal achievements at his martial arts school, Self Mastery Systems! A further update on the Line of Sight release, including trailer and Behind the Scenes teasers, will come out next week! Be sure to check it out!

Bob is truly surprised that we are finally releasing Line of Sight!

CLARITY is STRIKE A POSE!!! Films first attempt at the mystery/thriller genre, and a more serious take in tone than what we usually offer. A unique head-scratcher with flavors of Lynch, Nolan, and our own brand of nuttiness.

In CLARITY, Sam Anderson plays the Detective, a man who is seeking for answers, and possibly a score to settle. Damien McCoy plays the Boy, a young man who is seeking his lost girlfriend, who disappeared without a trace just the night before. Lurking about in his memories is Whitney Arkin, in her first STRIKE A POSE!!! role, as the Girl:  A victim caught in the manacles of a serial killer known only as the Venetian. In his stunning first performance since Ascension, Bob Novich returns to the digital screen as the killer, bringing terror to the scenes.

As the Boy tries to convince the Detective of his girlfriend’s existence, the Detective begins to submerge himself in his own memories of his lost love, a woman taken from him under unnervingly similar circumstances. Can they find the girl in time? Or is she just a figment of the boy’s imagination? Why doesn’t she appear in any phone book or database? What is the game the Venetian is playing?
