It’s only a couple of days late! It’s still good, it’s still GOOD TIMES!

Sam Anderson, the original co-creator of STRIKE A POSE!!! Films, just celebrated his 25th Birthday, and thankfully I got to travel down to the faraway land of Harrisonburg, VA, to watch some of our old movies and of course, our inspiration, Sockbaby, with the original Chin-Strap himself. He is also the living embodiment of “GOOD TIMES!” And, as always, this has lead us to creating Sam’s own Cast and Crew page!

Sam was there LITERALLY AT THE BEGINNING. I can remember sitting in his house with him (or something, but to be visual we’ll use that) trying to come up with something to do with my first video camera, the ol’ Canon Elura 90 (R.I.P.). To convince him and his friends Stuart DeMattia and Bob Novich to join in, I simply told him “we’re going to go into your back yard and film you guys hitting each other with lightsabers.” When it comes to amateur film making, Star Wars always works to bait amateur actors. Thus, the first official Strike a Pose!!! Film, The Third Path, was born.

Sam went on to star in many of our projects, including Joe Belivitz in Car Trouble, Clarity, Line of Sight, and the biggest SAP production still unreleased, CURSE OF BODANGOFISH.

And THAT was an adventure in film making!

Sam has been one of my best buds and was always helpful in my projects, creating music that was used in Gull Man: Defender of Salisbury, and even making his own short for one of his college classes, CODEBREAKERS, a great little educational short about MATH.

Anywho, Sam, thank you for being the most excellent, and most Bondangoiest, friend in the world! Without you, STRIKE A POSE!!! Films wouldn’t be what it has been and will someday be again!

First of all, I would just like to state this month is strikeaposefilms.com’s MOST VIEWED MONTH OF ALL TIME! Thank you so much everyone out there who checked out our new videos, read our old essays, thumbed through our galleries, and even read our random posts! Thanks to you, we’ll be adding new features, looks, and links to the site this month.

Now on to the news.

This weekend I officially signed on to a new project with a great independent internet entertainment company, My Hot Zone TV.  After auditioning for the site’s creator, director, writer, producer, and all around entrepeneur extraordinaire Phoenix Tremayne, I will now be playing the part of Alec Wallachia- the Son of Dracula in the soon-to-be internet sensation, EDEN LOST. You can watch the first few “prototype” episodes here.

I was really excited to be auditioning for such a fun project, involving vampires, warrior angels, super human powers and magical energies. And of course…martial arts fight scenes! What I didn’t expect was to get cast and sent out back to “put a fight scene together” as briskly instructed by Mr. Tremayne within two hours of showing up! That’s right, thanks to my experience with STRIKE A POSE!!! Films , my martial arts practice at Self Mastery Systems, and my  stunt training at Six Flags, I was ready and able to help whip up a super fun fight scene!

Here’s (some of) the results with a quick peak at a fight choreography rehearsal as orchestrated by myself (Alec), Jasmine Guillermo (Sonique), and Corey Hollwood (Dracula).

This is just the rehearsal for the scene, the final product will feature an set location in Leakin Park in Baltimore, killer visual effects, the whole build up, more martial arts action, and an explosive finale you won’t want to miss!

Episode 1 of Eden Lost premieres next Monday, the 4th, on Phoenix Tremayne’s website. Be sure to check back here for more promotional videos and announcements!

So the other day at the Tokyo Game Show, Capcom released it’s trailer for the newest Devil May Cry game. The franchise has long inspired my film making and style, and even inspired me to make one of my most well received videos!

However, when I excitedly went to see the trailer on Gametrailers.com, waiting for the player to load with joyful glee such the likes as a kid on Christmas eve, I saw some things I never expected.

So everyone out there on the internet, what do you think of the changes made to our boy, Dante, in the new DMC?

I just wanted to make a brief post with shout-outs to all the wonderful people whom I had the pleasure of meeting at the 2010 Intervention Convention in Rockville, MD! It was a great time, and I look forward to being as big a part as I possibly can next year!
Here’s my report:

I went to the convention for only one day, Saturday, not expecting anything too intense but hoping to have a good time. Well, it just so happened that for a virgin convention that came out of nowhere in a Rockville Hilton- I totally had a HELL OF A LOT of BOTH! Read the rest of this entry »
