About a month ago I set out on a journey to the West…and I don’t mean to California. I mean cowboy boots, a duster, and a six shooter.

Genre Wars is an interactive webseries started in the DC area in which fans get to help select the next chapter via YouTube votes.

In this episode of Genre Wars directed by World War 2 enthusiast Christian Swanberg,  a squad of WWII soldiers encounters a posse of outlaws, both in search of the mystical “Onium”- an object of unknown properties.

Special thanks goes to Bob Novich for saving our bacon and pitching in as the lead character- his first major acting role since our own post-apocalyptic kung fu western, Line of Sight. Tyr Rollins of Apsis Motion Pictures also came out to lend a hand. Me? I was just happy to be the coordinator on a lot of great western action moments, and have a hand-to-hand with local fight performing legend PJ Megaw!

Yeeeehaw!

I got a really great call today from Mike Merino of MCM FILMS. He wanted to inform me that, based on my audition I was a qualified candidate for the role of PARK RANGER JOEY in “DISMAL CREEK”, the upcoming Appalachian-set horror film by the production company known for The Haunting of Pearson Place.

Here’s a plot synopsis, as well as a teaser trailer:

In the 2000 plus miles of the majestic and mysterious mountains in the Eastern side of North America, a dangerous killer plagues the foothills and canyons of the Appalachia. Relentlessly, he preys on the blood and fear of the unsuspecting…
as a local Sheriff desperately tries to save six hikers from a terrifying and horrendous death.
He’s aided in his quest by two Mountain men, but are they with him or against him. Only time will tell.

Park Ranger Joey is a fun supporting role where I’m sure I’ll get to do some crazy stunt work, share a movie with my good buddy Daniel Ross of Ninjas Vs. Monsters, potentially work with Kane Hodder (in talks!) of Hatchet 1 and 2 (IN TALKS),  and get scared out of my mind! I can’t wait for this, it will be an awesome experience!

A few months back I was a guest on Indie Capitol– a local talk show about film makers in the DC/MD/VA area, shot out of Arlington Independent Media in Arlington, VA. The show is directed by Cheryl Brown and hosted by Pamela Nash.

The topics we cover in this episode are Bite the Hand (the short film that WILL be coming soon!), my career as an actor and stuntman, my love for DC area film making, the creation of the DC Stunt Coalition, and Max Action. Be sure to watch the whole thing, like their page on FB, and check out past and future episodes!

Thanks everyone at Indie Capitol for this wonderful opportunity!

You know, that crazy guy we all know and love from various videos! Including a new one ( a preview! ) we’re releasing today!

December kicks off with Our Boy GHO57 and his amazingly talented acting performance in the SAP classic, “Bodango Returns”- the short sequel to the awesome Curse of Bodangofish. You can find this video on that video’s page, and eventually, when CURSE is on sale (maybe as a Christmas present for those you love!), you’ll be able to get a SECRET LINK to the full video. In the meantime, the crazy guy has a great little vignette for us to read!

5 Years already? I can’t believe it’s already been this long since we were goofing off on top of the parking garage outside of Target, miming what was “the greatest battles of all” and marching the streets of Rio dressed up in wacky outfits, trying to draw attention to ourselves.

Good times, and even better when we got serious with it. Whether it was running around in the woods with deranged bounty hunters, solving mysteries of serial killers and missing girlfriends, or fending off street scum with a BRUSH, Strike A Pose has always had it’s share of laughs and tales throughout the years.

Big things are in store for this group and it’s dedicated members, and although my participation has been stretched thin for a while, I’m glad to be a part of them and share some of the story of our growth.

Thanks dude! We appreciate your support. Here’s the video!
