Archive for Other Film Makers

As you know, Paul R. Sieber has already been cast in the local hit man drama, Bite the Hand. Joining him are two other amazing actors, John C. Bailey and Daniel Lee Mascarello.

Be sure to check out the official site for Bite the Hand to see the update!
We are still looking for our main character, RED. Red is described as:

early to mid 20s, unkempt and desperate, with only a little pride left. Former military, dishonorably discharged. Up and coming hitman who is about to learn a lesson in manners. We are looking for any ethnicity, just must be able to convey a lot of emotions with body language and facial expressions. Military experience not required but might be helpful if you have it. Physicality and firearms training also a plus. Does NOT have red hair.

Send in your headshot and resume to bitethehandmovie@gmail.com to audition for this part! You’ll get to work with three of the BEST actors in the local industry!

Remember the good ol’ days where you’d get your functioning dysfunctional family together to go down to the local Country Western bar to listen to your dad sing about shooting himself in the head? Yeah, me neither. Till now! Last week I teamed up with fellow film maker Habib Awan, a rising local DC industry talent, to produce a  performance video for another rising talent from Florida- my dad, David Hintz.

David Hintz- Honest Heart

Visiting up here in Maryland, David arranged to play at an open mic night at the Outta the Way Cafe in Derwood. He performed five songs, including two of his own original tracks, “Bullet in my Brain” and “Restless Winter Days”. He also did a couple of John Prine covers, similar to his last performance I posted about a few months ago. Click the link above to see the event for yourself! (Photos Courtesy of Habib Awan).

Our good friend DJ Gh057 (AKA Damien from Car Trouble and Clarity) has released his newest demo album, Nihilum Ex Apparatus, for free on bandcamp.com . Ghost also did music for The Intersection and a few other Strike a Pose!!! Films.

Free to download, the album features one of the DJ’s newest tracks, Man of Action, which I’m sure you all can guess, is about a very special friend of ours, MAX ACTION. You can also listen to that song on YouTube. The song premiered at N-Code October, after a very eerie mis-step that lead to a public accapella.

This weekend I officially signed on to a new project with a great independent internet entertainment company, My Hot Zone TV.  After auditioning for the site’s creator, director, writer, producer, and all around entrepeneur extraordinaire Phoenix Tremayne, I will now be playing the part of Alec Wallachia- the Son of Dracula in the soon-to-be internet sensation, EDEN LOST. You can watch the first few “prototype” episodes here.

I was really excited to be auditioning for such a fun project, involving vampires, warrior angels, super human powers and magical energies. And of course…martial arts fight scenes! What I didn’t expect was to get cast and sent out back to “put a fight scene together” as briskly instructed by Mr. Tremayne within two hours of showing up! That’s right, thanks to my experience with STRIKE A POSE!!! Films , my martial arts practice at Self Mastery Systems, and my  stunt training at Six Flags, I was ready and able to help whip up a super fun fight scene!

Here’s (some of) the results with a quick peak at a fight choreography rehearsal as orchestrated by myself (Alec), Jasmine Guillermo (Sonique), and Corey Hollwood (Dracula).

This is just the rehearsal for the scene, the final product will feature an set location in Leakin Park in Baltimore, killer visual effects, the whole build up, more martial arts action, and an explosive finale you won’t want to miss!

Episode 1 of Eden Lost premieres next Monday, the 4th, on Phoenix Tremayne’s website. Be sure to check back here for more promotional videos and announcements!

Westhavenbrook, our sorta adopted-older-brother-that-doesn’t-quite-know-it-yet (see Street Fighter: Alpha the movie), has released the awesome second part to their webseries, Battle Jitni in: The Danger Element. See part one here.

SYNOPSIS:

Doctor Trevor Elymas (Doug Jones) is only one step away from completing a diabolical plan. Battle Jitni (John Soares), member of a secret order of vigilantes, must wrench The Danger Element from Doctor Elymas’ grasp before it can be stabilized and installed in his machine.

Battle Jitni has escaped the clutches of Doctor Elymas with the Danger Element, but a new party has taken interest. Persued by mister Saltzman and his mysterious employer, Carlotto, Battle Jitni finds unexpected help.

Westhavenbrook’s sci-fi-fantasy-martial-arts-steampunk adventure is the latest flick in a long chronichle of video’s featuring John Soares’s action hero character, Battle Jitni. Second only to Ronnie Cordova in notoriety, John and his team’s work with this character and other’s have been a constant inspiration for STRIKE A POSE!!! Films. Make sure to support this one- the fight scenes in it kick modern-day Hollywood’s ass!
