The original founding members of Strike a Pose!!! Films joined up last weekend for Saturday’s Annual Weenie Roast at Sam Anderson’s pad, wherein the majority of original Strike a Pose!!! members met up, ate weenies, and had GOOD TIMES! Here’s some pictures of the group, together at last, for the first time in years!

The only person we’re missing from the pictures now is the elusive Stuart DeMattia. NEXT TIME FOR SURE! Why not give him some respect by reading his bio and checking out the movie that started it all, The Third Path!

The Third Path also just happened to be filmed right around here, where this very picture was taken last Saturday!

Today it is time to once again eat a healthy portion of weenies with Sam Anderson, our amazing actor extraordinaire! Now I know what you’re thinkin- you’re thinking, “Dylan…that sounds kinda peculiar! Why would you be posting about eating weenies with Sam?”

Well fans and friends, it is a time honored tradition, and this year a lot of the cast and crew will be in one place at one time, so it’s gonna be a blast! Pictures will come later, I’m sure, but for now, we’re gonna let you imagine the greatness that’ll be flooding just one room- a room full of Sam Anderson, Dylan Hintz, Robert Novich, Robert Ramirez, Ryan Jacob, and a LOT of weenies!

Oh, and we’ll be doing our yearly viewing of Curse of Bodangofish, Clarity, and possibly even Line of Sight! Check out these great old classics and hit some comments, or share them on facebook or twitter with all of you friends!

Oh, and for all of you still wondering when the hell Curse of Bodangofish will come to the internet? I was planning on it this summer but we got booked with all the Max Action stuff and whatnot. However! There is still potential for a release by the end of the year! We just need to hear you begging for it!

Let me just start by wishing my friends at Salisbury University good luck, and give my best to the Future Film Maker’s Club, who you can find on Facebook as well-  they’re starting a new glorious year!

And in the News
This month has been our second-highest viewed month of all time in the history of the site, so we’re going to celebrate by trying something new.

STRIKE BACK! will be an end-of-month article that details everything we’ve posted over the course of the last month in terms of videos and essays, and also will mention other film maker’s we’ve gotten in contact with and would like to help promote.

GENERAL
The Strike a Pose!!! Films facebook group is still growing and is bigger than ever. We passed 150 members, so our next goal is 200, and eventually, over 9000.

We even have a new placeholder logo. Be sure to show it to your friends!

We also have been introduced and syndicated through our wonderful comrade website, Space Monkey Mafia Studios, where I’m writing under the alias Slinger. I know- so secretive! We’ll be posting more for that site soon, so keep an eye out on them- they have some great content!

   SITE UPDATES:

This month’s STRIKE BACK is almost all about MAX ACTION, our MAN OF ACTION, who’s gotten his own page on the website, as well as his own Facebook Page.

Max will even start making appearances at Club Orpheus in Baltimore as an official mascot of N-Code (brought to you by Binary Gaming and Eclipse)! Don’t hesistate to find him before he finds you.

We’ve also added a CAST AND CREW page which is slowly growing, but by the end of September should be full of bios, link, new art images and more! Just check out Stuart DeMattia’s page for a sample- you could be next!

The forums, contact page, and comments have all also received updates. Hopefully by November we’ll have a new look and feel to the site as well to celebrate it’s 4 Year Anniversary.

Westhavenbrook, our sorta adopted-older-brother-that-doesn’t-quite-know-it-yet (see Street Fighter: Alpha the movie), has released the awesome second part to their webseries, Battle Jitni in: The Danger Element. See part one here.

SYNOPSIS:

Doctor Trevor Elymas (Doug Jones) is only one step away from completing a diabolical plan. Battle Jitni (John Soares), member of a secret order of vigilantes, must wrench The Danger Element from Doctor Elymas’ grasp before it can be stabilized and installed in his machine.

Battle Jitni has escaped the clutches of Doctor Elymas with the Danger Element, but a new party has taken interest. Persued by mister Saltzman and his mysterious employer, Carlotto, Battle Jitni finds unexpected help.

Westhavenbrook’s sci-fi-fantasy-martial-arts-steampunk adventure is the latest flick in a long chronichle of video’s featuring John Soares’s action hero character, Battle Jitni. Second only to Ronnie Cordova in notoriety, John and his team’s work with this character and other’s have been a constant inspiration for STRIKE A POSE!!! Films. Make sure to support this one- the fight scenes in it kick modern-day Hollywood’s ass!

Be sure to check out their website and new Youtube Channel for more AWESOME videos from the guys that brought you Sockbaby, Gauntlet of Sorrow, and Go Sukashi!

I was hanging out with our web developer, Neutralx2 the other night. We decided to dick around with his new captcha card and see if we could make a quick Halo 3 skill scene. It was fun to get my hands on the tools in the Halo 3 video production kit. Here’s some very quick results:

A full demo video will hopefully come in either by the end of this month or October.

In the meantime, here’s a link to the footage Neutralx2 put together himself.
